General Solutions

General solution for design (new or revamped) flare systems are based on the following:

  • The calculation of diameter, height and thermal radiation according to
    API RP 521 – Guide for Pressure – relieving and depressurizing systems with appropriate software
  • The calculation of burned gas dispersion using DEGATEC software

General engineering solutions

Tank farm

  • Storage tanks arranged in a concrete bund, in compliance with international safety standards.
  • Providing fluidizing and heating systems whenever fluids with high freezing point are stored.

Rail, road tankers and ship transfer station

  • Shall be designed according to the tanker unloading & loading system, namely at upper or lower side
  • Provided with flexible connection and suitable sealing systems
  • Provided with:
    • movable arms
    • recovery system for volatile product vapors
    • interlocking system in order to avoid overflow and pump idle running
    • Rail or/and road tanker weighing with data acquisition system

PETRODESIGN designs thermal stations for obtaining low, medium and high pressure superheated steam for industrial and domestic use.

Boilers can be provided with combined burners for liquid or gas fuel.

In the facility is also enclosed a unit for storage, treatment and solved air removal of boiler feed water, equipped with storage tanks, pumps, etc.

This facility is designed to recover all the residual energy in the station and to use it for boiler feed water preheating, leading to a high thermal efficiency.

Suitable instruments control plant operating parameters.

The station is connected to the platform steam network.
